Welcome aboard! Welcome aboard David Thomas's lobster boat, Just a Pluggin'. We are headed out of Islesford on Little Cranberry Island to haul lobster traps off the fog-shrouded coast of Maine.

David lives on Little Cranberry Island and belongs to the Cranberry Isles Fishermen's Coop located there. David came to Islesford in 1973 as a teacher in the island's elementary school.  The pull of island life and the adventure of the sea kept him a member of the communnity. David also ships scallops and other Maine seafood caught by friends in the area.

The lobsters David catch are shipped all over the United States. Not in mega-ton lots but in smaller quantities. In boxes a person can pick up and carry into the house.

There is nothing quite like opening the box from David and finding fresh lobsters caught yesterday in Maine. Nothing except sitting down to dinner that night!
